What is Juläine™?
Juläine™ is a second-generation poly-L-lactic (PLLA) injectable that stimulates collagen production to restore volume in sunken areas of your face and body.
Compared to other PLLA products, the microspheres used in Juläine™ consist of highly uniform particles which enhance distribution in an even, focused and long-lasting way, without inducing unnecessary inflammantion risking lumps and nodules.
What’s the difference between Juläine™ and dermal fillers?
Many dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid (HA) – a hydrating ingredient which typically lasts for six to 12 months. With Juläine™, the poly-L-lactic (PLLA) injectable acts as a biostimulator to produce collagen for periods lasting up to 24 months. In as little as two to three months from your first treatment, you will begin to notice natural-looking results that add hydration, elasticity and volume to your skin, which continues to progress for another 6 months.
How many Juläine™ treatments are required before I see results?
Depending on your age and condition of treated area, a course of two to four treatments is usually recommended. Your doctor will advise on the right amount of treatments during your consultation.
Is Juläine™ treatment painful?
Juläine™ treatment has minimal discomfort. To ensure maximum comfort for our patients, a topical anaesthetic can be used with each treatment.
Developed with over 15 years of research, Juläine™ is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) injectable based on patented microsphere technology. Each microsphere is distributed to targeted areas of the skin to stimulate your body’s own collagen production in an even and lasting manner. The biomaterials used in Juläine™ are biodegradable and naturally absorb with very little risk of inducing inflammation. Juläine’s™ mode of action is via natural regeneration which continues for 6-9 months after treatment and lasts in excess of 2 years.
